The conference will be held on June 1-13, 2024 at the University of Life Sciences in Lublin and Nałęczów. The conference will be conducted in English.

Lublin region is one of the most valuable agricultural areas in Poland and Europe. Agriculture is modern and innovative. For this reason, Lublin, the capital of the region, should become a significant international center for the exchange of experience and knowledge of scientists and practitioners dealing with both soil science and agriculture.

The University of Life Sciences in Lublin in cooperation with the Institute of Soil Science and Plant Cultivation State Research Institute in Puławy, the Institute of Agrophysics (PAS) and the Institute of Earth and Environmental Sciences (Department of Geology, Soil Science and Geoinformation) UMCS wants to create a space where scientists from all over the world will be able to discuss topic of the greatest challenges of contemporary agricultural soil science. The main topic of next year's conference will be soils in sustainable development. Thematic sessions will also cover: soil health and fertility, crops and agronomy, climate change, soil-plant interactions, analytical methods and soil modeling, as well as soil and agricultural economics and legislation.

Knowledge is most valuable when it is put into practice. For this reason, agricultural sector companies will be invited to the event, which will be able to present their offers and establish valuable contacts. This is intended to facilitate the transfer of knowledge between scientists and practitioners, i.e. companies that are involved in the production of agricultural machinery, seed, plant protection products, fertilizers on a daily basis and are interested in the topic of renewable energy sources in agricultural areas. It will contribute to the creation of inter-university research teams, both national and international, and will create an excellent opportunity to promote Lublin and the Lublin region.

The program of the first day of the conference will include the ceremonial opening of the conference at the Congress Center of the University of Life Sciences in Lublin by the Rector and Vice-Rectors, plenary lectures given by representatives of foreign research centers, as well as oral speeches and poster presentations in six thematic sessions. The second and third day of the conference will take place in Nałęczów and will include presentations by conference participants and field workshops.

The addressees of the project are scientists involved in agriculture and soil science, as well as young scientists and PhD students from domestic and foreign universities and research institutes. The participation of 150/200 people is planned.

All information about the conference is available on the organizer's website.
