Doctoral students of the UPWr Doctoral School can take part in a unique form of classes, which are tutoring classes conducted by certified academic tutors.
Academic teachers of the Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences, who have undergone special training at the School of Academic Tutors, may support the doctoral student by engaging in one of the most effective for academic education, the master-student formula, implemented in the area of the tutor's substantive specialization.
Tutoring is based on the individual work of a doctoral student (tutee) with a teacher (tutor). Tutorials (meetings with the teacher) take place in the form of individual consultations or in small groups led by the tutor. During tutoring, teaching and research goals are set in a given area of the doctoral student's interests. The tutor may commission a task to be performed, suggest specific tools, methods or teaching aids. During subsequent meetings, the doctoral student's progress is evaluated and the next steps are set.
Working with a tutor is an unforgettable experience, an opportunity to develop your scientific potential and strengthen your strengths and talents, which may result in more effective work, specific scientific achievements or a well-written article.
Applications for tutoring are accepted at designated times of the academic year. The recruitment is announced on the DS UPWr website.
The deadline for applications is the January January 24, 2024.
